I have a background in sales and management and that is part of my role in SETS. You will find me out and about doing site visits, recordings, networking, catching up for a chat, the occasional show or in my office doing admin, marketing or my newest skill, video editing. I love being able to capture the content and creating something special with it. What part of your job lights you up most?

Throw back to when Chris had long hair! Chris is our AV Genie, he can usually be found hiding in a small dark corner of the room making sure the tech for your event is working. Our AV Genie has been in the live events industry for over 10 years and his powers spread across all AV departments, Audio, Lighting, Vision and Streaming. Before SETS Chris worked for many of the major event production companies in Sydney. While doing this he has designed and operated tech for many Gala Dinners, Sporting Events, Conferences, AGMs and Expos as well as smaller internal corporate meetings. During this time Chris realised that unless you have a consistent person organising your tech you can have the same show in several locations all looking completely different. He also noticed that most events held out West don't get the same budget and therefore the same POP as the City events. What is your superpower?

It was like we were in the room. I loved that we had the best seats in the house. Close up and personal....good view from every angle. We had a small group of us watching from one of the award recipient's homes. We made it our own little private zoom awards event. I can say that even though we were not physically in the room we definitely felt like we were a part of it. It was great to be able to have this option thanks to Michelle & Chris from Sydney Event Technical Specialists They really did an amazing job for us to be a part of the event.”
